What is more, some of the historical buildings still work! You just need to come here in the last evening before Christmas and see yourself those schools, post offices and forging shops.
Skansen is also a place of the Christmas marketplace in December. One couldn’t think of winter Stockholm tourism without this fabulous place. In case if you are not a shopper you can, for example, try your hands in baking some bread with the 19th century bakery equipment. Challenging, isn’t it?
Christmas market in Skansen traditionally attracts a great number of people. Please, don’t get angry and don’t avoid queues and crowd and you will feel the festive spirit.
When non-shoppers like shopping
You will quickly become a true shopper if you visit Stureplan square. Buying doesn’t have to be the best part of it. The biggest pleasure is in going around and choosing things. Stureplan should certainly be visited in your Christmas holidays. There is no better place in the whole world which preserves such a Scandinavian ambience.
If you feel tired of doing shopping – visit a great skating rink located not far from the market. Tourists from other countries love that ice-skating spot and quite often go there. It turns the skating rink into a perfect place for getting to know new people.
Spend your time with family
As a matter of fact, Stockholm museums are a nice option for people of all ages. All in all, there are also places created for families. But if the weather is still and it’s not snowing you will enjoy really unforgettable landscapes of winter Sweden.
