Stockholm has an especial place among all other European capitals. In winter it looks a lot like a fairytale town due to neat and clean streets and decorations put on nearly every building. Stockholm Old Town looks great all the time, however in winter it turns into something specific. It possesses its own unmatched ambience with its market, handmade souvenirs, sweet chestnuts and glogg.

As for the Stockholm attractions we’d like to mention Skansen. It is a very popular open-air museum founded in 1891. All types of Swedish architecture can be found here. It the second half of December there is a nice Christmas market in Skansen. It’s impossible to think of winter Stockholm tourism without this fabulous place. In case if you are not a a big shopper you can, for example, try baking bread with the 19th century bakery equipment. Challenging enough, isn’t it?
Hunders of tourists come to Skansen market every day. Patience will help you a lot since there will certainly be a crowd, but it’s still worth coming.

Stureplan square is an amusing point of interest with outstanding marketplace. Buying doesn’t have to be the best part of it. The biggest pleasure is in going around and finding unusual things. Stureplan cannot be ignored during your Christmas holidays. There is no better place in Europe that has such a Scandinavian spirit.
Ice-skating is a good activity after shopping, the rink is quite near to Stureplan. People from abroad like that skating spot and regularly come there. That is why the skating rink is the most suitable place for striking up new acquaintances.
Family entertainment
Without a doubt, museums of Stockholm are a nice option for kids and adults. All in all, there are also places created specifically for families. Stockholm circus could be an awesome choice. They offer a wide selection of shows for the families. Your kids will be thankful and happy, don’t even doubt! Stockholm circus is a must-see place for any tour with family.
One more pleasant thing is ferry. Find a ferry just near the Opera and join a fantastic tour around the see area. However, please keep in mind that strong wind is not a good weather for taking sea tours. But even if you get numb you may always ask for a thick and incredibly cozy buck skin. When there is good weather in Stockholm a ferry tour is a perfect pastime.

Globe-shaped Sports Center is another attraction of Stockholm. Actually, it’s the biggest ball in the world. This building has another attraction besides its shape – there is an outstanding sightseeing desk there. The platform revolves around the Center and rises up to 130 meters! The Stockholm view from there is really breathtaking.
